CORONA CAVE is an investigation of how we as human beings relate to crises and isolation. What thoughts, feelings and objects do we bring with us in our corona cave? How do our actions, thoughts and feelings change during these corona times and how can we cope with the crisis creatively and collaboratively? I investigate what thoughts and actions arise when habits and patterns are broken. I explore how imagination, dreams and fantasies can liberate us in periods of isolation as well as how crisis situations and external restrictions can unlock our inner lives and imaginings. This project has resulted in a number of pictures and videos.

In June 2020, Roskilde Festival selected my Corona Cave idea of interpreting their theme ‘we miss festivals’ for ‘Time to Create’. ‘Time to Create’ is an initiative that supports creative professionals. Here, I am dancing in my “Corona Cave”, surrounded by my memory of Roskilde Festival. Watch here
In May 2020, I have been on residency at BIRCA – Bækkelund International Residency Center for Artists on Bornholm where I explored the Corona Cave with alu foil and gloves.
In April 2020, I had my first showing of my experiments to the event TABU Salon organised by Foreningen TABU and Mellem Fire Vægge. I performed online on Foreningen_Tabu Instagram with three work-in-progress performances where I explored deprivation and photos (Corona Cave Memories), death and incubation period (Corona Cave Death), pleasure and luxury (Corona Cave Chandelier).
